Established in 1991 by a Prairie boy from Saskatchewan who followed the call of the mountains, "Woody" Wudkevich has since become a local legend here in the Kootenays. With a passion for craftsmanship and service, Woody set up shop and built a legacy that’s served the region for over 30 years.

From humble beginnings, we’ve grown to become a trusted partner in glass solutions for Nelson and the West Kootenays. We’ve changed thousands of windshields on cars, trucks, tractors, heavy equipment—even boats and planes. We’ve been part of countless home renovation projects, upgrading windows and doors to bring comfort and efficiency to local families. And we’ve helped businesses across the region open, refresh, and repair storefronts with custom commercial glass solutions.

As we head into 2025, longtime Kootenay Glass project managers Dale Bonderud and Ian Wourms are leading day-to-day operations. Our small, close-knit team remains as locally rooted as it gets—always ready to serve our community with pride, honesty, and the personal touch that comes from being your neighbors.
